VOICE CLASSES & LESSONS
Key elements of singing breathing, phonation, resonation and articulation. Songs in a musical is what brings the storytelling to life at moments when emotions are heighten and can no longer be expressed in only words. Musical theatre singers are wide trained and versatile singers, trained in vocal styles from rock (RENT), contemporary (Dear Evan Hansen) to classical (Phantom of the Opera).

WHAT TO EXPECT
Group Voice: Ages 8 - 11 Length: 1 hour
Prepare for the ultimate team building experience. Students will improve on a variety of vocal skills including tone, pitch, rhythm, solfege, basic note reading, diction, harmony, breath control, ear training and performance. Music we may study includes Broadway, Pop, Acapella, and more!
Private Voice: Ages 7 and up Length: 30 minutes
Individualized coaching is key! Students spend time each week doing physical exercises to improve their vocal range, ear training, breath control, vibrato, tone production, enunciation and more. Students will work to be prepared to sing in a variety of settings including open mics, musicals and recording studios!
Acting the Song: Ages 11 - 18 Length: 1 hour
The class will train students on how to focus on storytelling through the song. Students will learn to release their full potential as singers and actors through Script/Score analysis, physicalizing/bodily awareness and using music to lead a character through a journey. Students will get experience working with a live pianist, selecting appropriate audition songs and preparing sheet music for Musical Theatre Auditions. This class is recommended for highly motivated performers interested in taking their performances to the next level and or preparing for auditions.
*Student must have prior voice and acting training.
