+ What is a Musical Theatre School?

Musical theatre is a form of theatrical performance that combines acting, singing and dancing. Think of Hairspray, Annie to Sound of Music. Our studio will offer training in all three aspects of musical theatre.

+ What kind of classes does Lumi offer?

We offering acting classes, musical theatre dance classes, acting, group voice class and private voice for ages 3 to adult. Masterclass series, workshops, summer camps and musical productions.

+ How does tuition work?

Lumi's classes will run a calendar school year, September with our first 36 week session.

Monthly tuition is due the 1st of every month. These classes will include a one time registration fee. Our plan for Lumi is fall 2023 we will offer a 36 weeks class program that will run September through May.

Registration fee due at enrollment, $30 individual or $45 for family. Classes are month to month, you are able to drop at any time. Studio must be notified via email by the 15th of the month prior to next payment.

For summer camps at enrollment a deposit will be due, the remainder of camp will be due the 1st of the month the camp will be held.

For our productions, this is separate from our school year classes. A deposit will be due at time of enrollment and payment due the 1st on the month rehearsals begin.

Masterclass, Workshops and Mini Series: These class will be offered through out the school year on a month to month schedule. Tuition will be due at time of enrollment.

+ How do I get started?

+ When do classes start and end?

Classes begin the week of September 11th through May 25th. Our 23/24 session is a 36 week session.

+ What is the dress code?

We ask that students come dressed to move for acting and musical theatre. Dance clothes leotards and tights, or workout wear, ballet or jazz shoes and tap for musical theatre dance classes . Muscial Theatre classes wear clothes to move and clean shoes.

+ Lumi's Class Policies

We strive for a safe and welcoming environment for all of our students at Lumi. By students being kind and supportive to one another, as well as parents.

NO STUDENTS PHONES will be allowed in class. This will help us keep the class time a safe environment for students to learn without fear of being videoed and shared on social media. As well as being present during classes and the time learning and rehearsing.

If a child is not respecting other students or teachers they may be asked to leave class and parents will be contacted. If a child shows physical violence to other students or staff this child may be asked to leave studio all together and only return upon special approval.

+ How do I enroll in a production?

Our spring and fall production classes are only open to students registered in a class or lesson at Lumi. We find class time so important for our students to learn the skills, technique and disicple needed for rehearsals and performances.
